Kitchen Countertops - Before
CHALLENGE
Every kitchen countertop was covered with miscellaneous kitchen wares. The client and her children found it was easier to leave things out because finding space in the overflowing cabinets was too frustrating.
-
Kitchen Countertops - After
SOLUTION
We systematically emptied, decluttered, and reorganized every wall and base cabinet. Thinking about how the client and her children use it from breakfast to late night, each section was given a purpose. Everything that was not donated, recycled, or thrown away now has a home.
-
Pantry - Before
CHALLENGE
“I’m sick of this [expletive]!”
This was a clear call to action during the consultation call as the client could not force her pantry door closed.
After months of traveling for work, supporting her children’s growing calendars, and balancing the needs of her own parents’ household, this amazing mom understood it was her turn to ask for a helping hand.
-
Pantry - After
SOLUTION
We unpacked pantry contents onto a cleared space then checked every expiration date. There were many duplicate items but they had been hidden from view. Expired items - some expired 12+ years - were thrown away. All that remained was organized, ensuring that the family was given a clear visual of contents while providing easy access to frequently used items.
Grocery shopping can now be done after a quick visual, helping the client to avoid spending on duplicate purchases.
-
Wall Cabinet - Before
CHALLENGE
Due to how the cabinets were installed and very rigid shelf clips, the client made due with the limitations of her wall cabinets’ shelving height for over 20 years. Every cabinet housed multiple categories of kitchen wares. This cabinet hosted baking products, storage containers, and water bottles which were entered vertically because none of the shelving allowed for upright storage.
-
Wall Cabinet - After
SOLUTION
We took on the tedious task of removing stubbornly tight shelf clips that had made it difficult for the client to adjust her shelves for over 20 years! The result was a dedicated space for meal storage containers and a vertical expansion that allowed for the upright housing of the family’s beloved assortment of water bottles.
-
Base Cabinet - Before
CHALLENGE
With every space accounted for in other cabinets, this base cabinet like others became yet another space that welcomed everything that needed a space to land.
The challenge was to find breathing space and intention for the space.
-
Base Cabinet - After
SOLUTION
As the decluttering and reorganization progressed in other parts of the kitchen, we grouped and stacked items that belonged together. Items were organized to ensure that the client saw what they used most often and with easy access.
-
Kitchen Drawer - Before
CHALLENGE
Every kitchen drawer suffered from a lack of focus with multiple categories crammed within each space. There was a lack of clarity on which counter space was used for specific tasks based on the contents found within each drawer. Client input would be needed to determine landing spaces for each category.
-
Kitchen Drawer - After
SOLUTION
We briefly unhoused the content of the drawers to group like-items. Additionally, we consulted with the client on where specific content would be best housed to create efficiency in their use.

Craft Armoire - Before
CHALLENGE
When inspiration strikes it is helpful to have what you need at first sight! This creativity station is housed in the family living room where discretion, ease of use, and aesthetics are equally important when the armoire doors are opened.
-
Craft Armoire - After
SOLUTION
While much of the organization is hidden within the existing boxes/containers, thought was put into displaying frequently use items for ease of use and re-organization.
We used existing storage boxes, spray painted them to match, and titled each one after the items they would house.
No more digging when creativity strikes and users can return tedious items back to their home until the next time inspiration strikes.

Bed View
CHALLENGE
Working an early riser shift in order to complete a career-focused professional education while also carrying household responsibilities took its toll on this client. Working under sustained pressure around the clock resulted in a bedroom that was less sanctuary and more of landing space in survival mode.
-
Bed View
SOLUTION
The client stayed for the full transformation, seeking to learn organizing techniques. The space under the bed already stored frequently used item, so we discussed which items would be helpful to access from each side of the bed and organized accordingly.
Minor decluttering and categorization of additional storage spaces resulted in this final scene which the client called his new, “zen space”.

Closet, Entry View
CHALLENGE
We were welcomed by a fabric avalanche. A lack of both time and categorization ideas overwhelmed the client, resulting in a growing sea of clothes on the ground that restricted access to the hanging rods.
-
Closet, Entry View
SOLUTION
In consultation with the client, favorite sports attire and memorabilia became the focal point at the closet entrance. Smaller keepsakes were grouped together in boxes to extend their preservation until they are needed for inspiration or reflection. The client now knows exactly where those mementos and sentimental items reside.
-
Closet, Side View
CHALLENGE
The fabric avalanche oozed in every direction. A growing sea of clothes on the ground pushed up against his collection of shoes that were housed - and along the way hidden - on the floor.
-
Closet, Side View
SOLUTION
We categorized sections by style, color, and frequency of use. The client saw himself using the storage. With clarified the sections - long sleeve business wear, short sleeve and infrequently accesed mementos were and open access to shoe collection
